Jemaa elfna
One of the most famous historical spaces in Morocco,
it has been storing for centuries expressions of popular culture and open doors in the face of visitors from different parts of the world, as well as the commercial and economic importance of the place
The Jamaâ El Fna Square is located in the center of the old city of Marrakech, the capital of the Almoravids, and the city of historical weight and cultural and tourist significance. Close to the ancient Koutoubia Mosque, and the square is the home of commercial traffic and a crossing towards the various joints of the Red City.
Historical sources link the establishment of the Jamaâ El Fna Square with the founding of Marrakesh in 1071 AD by the Almoravids. Its commercial function crystallized before it acquired other dimensions after the building of the Koutoubia Mosque next to it, which gave it a greater reputation.
